Our Story: A Little Bunny, a Lifetime of Purpose
Behind every handmade treat is a story of family, compassion and the little lives that changed ours.
Meet Cookie Yiyi
Gigi, fondly known in the rabbit community as Cookie Yiyi, is the full time slave of Oishi Bunnies, a rabbit bakery in Singapore shaped by her love for bunnies and hands-on rabbit care experience.
At home, she is Mum to Owen and Gwyneth and a devoted “pawrent” to Barley, Missy, Echo and Eon. Life moves between family, late-night baking sessions and the daily routines of rabbit care. There is usually a bunny waiting for something—and rarely a quiet moment.
Gigi has also managed her own professional cleaning company since 2008. That practical attention to detail carries into Oishi Bunnies, from handcrafted treats to the rabbit care knowledge she shares with fellow bunny parents.
Her family also helps make the rescue work possible. Her sister handles transport for their cross-border rescues, while her mum provides daily care for the rescued bunnies in Johor Bahru. Behind this chapter of Oishi Bunnies is a family making room for little lives that need a fresh start.
The Family Behind the Care

Cookie Yiyi’s son—one of the human kids in a family with rather a lot of fur.

Cookie Yiyi’s daughter, sharing the family home with its very important bunny residents.

The main caretaker of our JB rescue bunnies, with a love for gardening, her cats and the daily care that helps little lives settle in.

A cosplayer with another important role: helping with transport for our cross-border rescues and getting bunnies closer to their new beginnings.

At Oishi Bunnies, we believe a business is only as good as the good it does. Over the past nine years, we have raised and donated over $40,000 in cash to various rabbit shelters. Giving back is part of our story as a rabbit bakery in Singapore, connecting our handmade bakes with the welfare work close to our hearts.
Cookie Yiyi’s commitment to rabbit care goes beyond financial support. After concluding her volunteer journey with local groups in 2024, she joined VFB in 2025, where she fostered the amazing Marvel. Her involvement in rabbit rescue in Singapore includes the everyday work of helping bunnies feel safe, comfortable and ready for a fresh start.
As a private rescuer and foster mum to 18 bunnies, including “foster fails” Missy, Echo, Eon and Theseus, Cookie Yiyi views fostering as a deeply emotional mission. Behind Oishi Bunnies is a belief that thoughtful rabbit care means noticing the small milestones: a bunny approaching willingly, settling into a routine or learning to trust a gentle hand.
“Fostering is about more than just physical rehabilitation; it’s about helping a bunny restore their trust and faith in humans. Seeing them reach a milestone fills my heart with pride—it’s how I know I’m making a real difference.”
— Cookie Yiyi
Our Journey: Learning, Growing & Giving Back

2023
The Birth of Happy Hoppers
We officially launched Happy Hoppers Grooming, extending our rabbit care experience to gentle, welfare-focused grooming in Singapore. Each session brings together patient handling, coat and nail care, and observations of your bunny’s comfort and condition.
2024
Bringing Oishi Bunnies to Shopee
We launched our Shopee Store to reach more bunny parents and offer another convenient way to shop. This milestone helped our rabbit bakery in Singapore connect with customers looking for ready-stock treats and rabbit essentials.
2025
Exploring More Personal Ways to Shop
We introduced a TakeApp mini-store to explore simpler ordering and closer communication with our regulars and Loyal Clubbers. That chapter helped shape our approach to a more personal shopping experience, which continues through the Oishi Bunnies website.
2025
Rabbit Rescue Beyond Borders
Cookie Yiyi expanded her involvement in rabbit rescue in Singapore with her first cross-border rescue, rehabilitation and fostering operation in Johor Bahru (JB). With her sister helping with rescue transport and her mum providing daily rabbit care, the family opened a new chapter for Sirius, Meteor and Snowflake—one built around safety, patience and the chance to settle into a caring home.
2026
Learning More, Caring Better
We began upgrading our skills through AI courses, alongside continued research, study and writing in rabbit care, nutrition and husbandry. For Cookie Yiyi, learning is part of the everyday work behind Oishi Bunnies: asking better questions, examining evidence and turning complex information into clearer, more useful educational materials for bunny parents.
Four Little Angoras, a New Beginning
In 2026, Oishi Bunnies successfully imported four Angora babies from Malaysia for adoption by families in Singapore. The cross-border process was painstaking and came with a steep learning curve. Each step brought new challenges and lessons, deepening our understanding of the planning and coordination needed to help rabbits reach their future homes. Four small bunnies, a great deal of paperwork, and another meaningful chapter in our rabbit rescue journey.
Meet the Team
Meet Cookie Yiyi and the furry personalities woven into Oishi Bunnies. From resident bosses to foster bunnies and adopted companions, each has a place in our story of baking, rabbit care and rescue.

Cookie Yiyi
Founder & Chief Cookie Dispenser
Mum, cleaner, night baker, weekend groomer and keeper of the bunny household. Behind Oishi Bunnies is Cookie Yiyi, juggling handmade bakes, rabbit care and a persistent wish for a clone.

Barley
Acting CEO
Bossy, smart and thoroughly determined. Barley doesn’t take no for an answer. Her specialities include crowd control and summoning the household with those impressive thumpers when it’s treat time.

Bubble
Retired CEO, Forever Our Inspiration
Our sweetest little puppy-bunny and the inspiration behind Oishi Bunnies. Family legend says Bubble travels between multiverses fighting baddies, visiting our dreams whenever his mission schedule allows.

Missy
Canteen Manager
Feisty Missy takes her food duties seriously and brings a hearty appetite to the job. In our household mythology, she descends from ancient Onmyōji and specialises in poop divination and yin-yang magic.

Echo
Housekeeping Chief
A slower eater with a talent for finding cookie crumbs. Mum sometimes sneaks him a little something when the canteen manager isn’t watching. Those dreamy eyes? We suspect he’s astral travelling.

Eon
Customer Service
From intern to resident, laid-back Eon charms everyone with his good looks. His fictional superpowers include kisses and hypnotic arts—although the first bunny he sends to sleep is usually himself.

Theseus
The Humanbun
In our family stories, Theseus commands a flying litter tray and has mastered shapeshifting and telekinesis. As Bubble’s sidekick, he is imagined handing out free cookies in Pureland.

Rourou 肉肉
Master of the Cookie Stare
Rourou’s blue-eyed stare is hard to resist. His supposed superpower is ocular manipulation: looking at a cookie until a helpful human moves it closer to his mouth.

Marvel
Master of Mischief
Our proud little Monkey God, always plotting his next chaotic adventure. Marvel’s superhero persona comes with imaginary instant-healing powers and a very real talent for keeping life interesting.

Visiting Interns
Othie, Teddy, Thalia & Juju
Othie, the Sentosa Bunny; Teddy, the gentleman; Thalia, the crazy donkey; and Juju, the 天外飞猪. Our visiting interns bring their own personalities—and their own interpretation of workplace rules.

Smile, Shine, Sparkle & Smiggle
Four Little Angoras, a New Beginning
These four Angora babies travelled from Malaysia to Singapore in 2026 for adoption by Singapore families. Their journey brought a steep learning curve in cross-border coordination and another meaningful chapter in the rescue story.

Smooch
A New Beginning in Malaysia
Part of our extended family, Smooch found an adoptive home in Malaysia. Another little life with a new chapter, and a lasting place in our story.
