We’re kicking off 2025 with a fresh vision for Oishi Bunnies’ fundraising vision and efforts: clearer accountability, greater flexibility to respond to urgent needs, and support that reaches more of the community.
Your generosity deserves more than a thank-you. It deserves a clear explanation of how donations are directed and how the results are shared.

Four commitments behind our fundraising
COMMITMENT 01
Donations go directly to the clinic
For beneficiaries receiving veterinary care, donations will go directly into the beneficiary’s clinic account.
This approach helps build a clearer relationship between donors, rescuers, and veterinary professionals, with contributions directed towards medical care where it is needed.
COMMITMENT 02
Flexibility to respond to urgent needs
Beneficiaries will not be named at the start of, or during, our fundraisers. This gives us room to respond when urgent needs arise while a campaign is running.
For example, a new rescue effort may need immediate support. Keeping beneficiary selection open allows us to consider those needs without centring the fundraiser on a particular person or group.
COMMITMENT 03
Results shared after each fundraiser
At the end of each fundraiser, we’ll continue sharing screenshots of the total donated amounts on our website and social media.
These updates help supporters follow the outcome of each campaign and see what our community has contributed together.
COMMITMENT 04
A wider circle of support
We’ll be reaching out to more animal rescue groups, private animal rescuers, and human charities.
Our aim is to make future fundraising campaigns more inclusive and community-driven, so your support can reach a broader range of needs.
Returning to solo private rabbit rescue
Alongside our wider fundraising efforts, Cookie Yiyi will return to rescuing independently as a solo private rescuer. Keeping our own rescue work small and personally managed allows us to match each commitment to the time, space, and resources available.
Rescue continues long after a rabbit reaches safety. Veterinary appointments, daily care, rehabilitation, adoption screening, and follow-up all take time. A manageable workload helps us give each rabbit consistent care and attention throughout that journey.
Working independently also keeps responsibility clear, from care decisions and expenses to communication with adopters. We can continue supporting the wider rescue community while taking personal responsibility for the rabbits in our care.
